Business Central Analyst III
Location: Frisco, Texas

On-Site


Overview:
Our client, a veteran owned retail brand is looking for a Business Central Analyst to take ownership of supporting, improving, and evolving our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across business and technical teams to keep systems running smoothly while driving meaningful process improvements. If you’re someone who understands both how the business operates and how the system supports it, this role puts you right in the middle of that impact.


What you will be doing:
Business Central Support & Optimization

  • Act as the go-to resource for Business Central users across the organization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to transactions, configurations, permissions, and workflows
  • Support key business functions including:
    • Sales & Customer Management
    • Purchasing & Vendor Management
    • Finance & Accounting
    • Inventory Planning
    • Warehouse Operations
  • Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions
  • Maintain system integrity through documentation and process control

System Enhancements & Technical Support

  • Configure and optimize Business Central to meet evolving business needs
  • Support extensions, customizations, and upgrades
  • Create/modify reports, workflows, queries, and pages
  • Partner with developers and third-party vendors on enhancements and integrations
  • Contribute to documentation, testing, and release readiness

Reporting, Integrations & Process Improvement

  • Support reporting needs and data analysis
  • Assist with integrations using APIs, web services, or middleware
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency

Requirements & Delivery

  • Gather and translate business requirements into system solutions
  • Support testing, deployment, and user adoption
  • Develop training materials and user documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and security standards


What you must have:

  • 5–7+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • Strong understanding of ERP workflows (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, etc.)
  • Experience supporting users in a fast-paced ERP environment
  • Knowledge of:
    • Business Central extensions and AL concepts
    • Reporting and ERP data structures
    • APIs, OData, or SOAP integrations
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users


Nice to have:

  • Experience with Business Central customizations and extensions
  • Background in Finance, Supply Chain, or Accounting systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) 


Salary/Rate Range: $95,000 – $125,000 + Benefits

Work Environment

  • Onsite role based in Frisco, TX
  • Occasional after-hours support may be required
