Job description

SCOPE/GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Senior Integration & Platform Engineering Lead is responsible for the architectural ownership of how systems connect across R3's shared services environment — CRM to ERP, application to application, and cloud service to cloud service — spanning RCCS, RC Billing, and Regents Health Resources. This role sets integration and API standards, designs data pipelines, and governs integration patterns across a Microsoft-centric platform stack that includes Dynamics 365, Business Central, Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, and Microsoft Fabric. The Senior Integration & Platform Engineering Lead serves as the internal platform steward whose institutional knowledge of R3's integration surface compounds over time. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports at outset, working in close partnership with and reporting to the Executive Director, Information Systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the architectural design of system-to-system integrations across R3's shared services environment, including CRM to ERP, application to application, and cloud service to cloud service connections.
  • Design, build, and govern integrations across the Microsoft platform stack, including Dynamics 365, Business Central, Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, and Microsoft Fabric, as well as additional platforms, tools, and systems as R3's technology environment and integration needs evolve.
  • Establish and maintain API standards across a multi-system environment, including versioning, authentication, documentation, and deprecation practices.
  • Design and implement data pipelines and data transformation processes supporting cross-entity integration needs.
  • Support the design and development of new products and capabilities related to data access and delivery as R3's platform needs evolve.
  • Map architectural dependencies across active initiatives in the IT portfolio and establish order-of-operations for delivery sequencing.
  • Develop reusable, production-grade integration patterns, including Azure Logic Apps solutions, to support scalable and maintainable system connections.
  • Partner directly with, and report to, the Executive Director, Information Systems, on integration architecture priorities and initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend integration and authentication architecture, including identity provider strategy where relevant to platform modernization efforts.
  • Serve as the technical authority on integration architecture decisions, communicating risk, tradeoffs, and rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain institutional knowledge of R3's integration landscape as a long-term internal resource, supporting continuity as the platform footprint expands.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
  • 8+ years’ experience in integration architecture or senior platform engineering, with hands‑on delivery experience rather than project management of integrations built by others.
  • Production experience delivering ERP integrations at scale (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Business Central, or equivalent) required; healthcare or healthcare‑adjacent industry experience is not required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Deep hands‑on experience with Azure integration platform technologies, including Logic Apps, API Management, REST API design, OData, and event‑driven integration patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience governing API standards across a multi‑system environment, including versioning, authentication, documentation, and deprecation.
  • Ability to own architectural decisions independently and defend them clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Comfort operating as a senior individual contributor in a lean, fast‑paced environment without a management structure at outset.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate operational complexity into scalable, maintainable integration architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work cross‑functionally across business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to complete work with little to no supervision.
