Job description

You will serve as the critical bridge between data engineering and business logic. Your mission is to transform raw data into trusted, automated, and reusable enterprise KPIs. You'll partner with stakeholders to design semantic layers and dimensional models that eliminate manual reporting and provide a "single source of truth" for performance insights across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
KPI Design & Strategy: Lead the definition and standardization of enterprise-level KPIs. Translate complex business objectives into clear metric logic and scalable dimensional models.
Data Stewardship: Ensure all performance measures are traceable to authoritative data sources. Maintain high standards for data governance, ensuring metrics are consistent, documented, and trusted.
Pipeline Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineering to shape transformation logic and build "analytics-ready" datasets. Focus on developing standardized semantic layers to support self-service analytics.
Automation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to replace manual reporting with automated measurement capabilities. Continuously evaluate the analytics roadmap to recommend the enhancement or retirement of existing metrics.
Best Practices: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for analytics engineering. Promote the reuse of data assets and analytical patterns to reduce technical debt and redundancy.
Qualifications
Bridging the Gap: Proven ability to communicate technical data concepts to business partners and translate business needs into technical requirements.
Technical Expertise: Strong experience in SQL, data modeling (Kimball/Star Schema), and working within modern data stacks (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery).
Metric Governance: Experience defining and managing "Metric Stores" or semantic layers to ensure cross-functional consistency.
Analytical Mindset: Deep understanding of how to build automated, scalable measurement frameworks that drive business decisions.
Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable working across functional silos to drive alignment on data definitions and analytics best practices.
