Job description

The Business Analyst is responsible for leading and participating in all phases of a project including initial project planning, functional specifications definition and documentation, process analysis, estimating, and implementation. The Lead will act as an advocate for the business units by translating their business needs into technology and process solutions. Initiatives range from solving issues that arise in daily production to designing significant system enhancements.
Qualifications:
The Business Analyst will also lead a team that coordinates technical and non-technical business requirements. Both the Lead and the team members will be expected to prepare comprehensive specification documents detailing the process for creating, auditing and fulfilling data requirements and serve as a point person for specific areas of expertise.
Requirements:
  • BS degree (or equivalent work experience) in Information Technology (IT), Business/Finance or related discipline.
  • 3+ years in financial services, mortgage banking is preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role that involved to mentoring, coaching, training and guiding.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of management
  • Proficient in multiple business disciplines/functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with all levels of the organization and geographically distributed teams including offshore.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player; leading the group to develop alternative solutions to complex problems, thinking outside the box, encouraging group consensus and recommending the best solution.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills, presentation skills, problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Skillful with scenario-based analysis and use case driven design techniques.
  • Extensive project and program experience with a proven record of delivery.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work efforts.
  • Proficiency in Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint is required
  • Experience with Irise is a plus
