Business Analyst in the Insurance Domain

A senior Business Analyst with recent experience in the Insurance domain is needed. Candidates must have extensive experience supporting large scale Insurance programs.

The IT Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders and support organizations to analyze, design, and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support the business objectives.

Candidates must have insurance industry experience to be considered for this role.

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and gather requirements
    • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and workflows
    • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT solutions
  • Solution Design and Development:
    • Work with IT teams to design system solutions that meet business needs
    • Develop and document technical specifications and system architectures
    • Ensure solutions align with industry standards and best practices
  • Implementation and Support:
    • Coordinate with development teams to implement system changes and enhancements
    • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure quality and functionality
    • Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes
  • Project Management:
    • Manage projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
    • Prepare project documentation and reports for stakeholders
  • Continuous Improvement:

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or greater in Information Technology/computer systems engineering or equivalent experience, 8+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry, ability to define and implement strategic support processes and solutions, exception analysis and problem-solving ability, SQL and data analysis skills, experience with work management/ticketing solutions (ex. Jira), comfort with rapidly changing priorities, business needs, and conditions, exceptional oral and written communication skills, calm under pressure, possessing excellent organizational skills, integrity, and follow-through on tasks, a strong sense of accountability and ownership, natural curiosity, a love of learning how things work and always on the lookout for innovative improvements.
