The Bus Driver will safely transport children and counselors to and from schools or field trips, and act as a role model in regards to promptness, manners, language, appearance and health.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a 14 passenger mini-bus.
  • Ensure the safety of passengers at all times while in a YMCA vehicle.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure safety of participants.
  • Communicate with appropriate supervisor any equipment needs.
  • Return bus to appropriate place clean and free of belongings.
  • Maintain accurate records at all times including trip and mileage logs.
  • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
  • Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
  • Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
  • Follow mandated reporting requirements
  • Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 20 years of age and possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License with the ability to operate a 14 passenger mini-bus - with preference given to those holding a valid CDL.
