Hours: 3:45 - 2:15 PM

FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.


Overview

The Aluminum Processor is responsible for movement of both heavy loads and raw material on and off the machinery throughout the facility. They are also responsible for sorting, measuring, shearing and breaking material and operate the burn table.

Working Conditions


Work is performed in a manufacturing warehouse environment with regular exposure to loud noise, vibration, fluctuating temperatures, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and byproducts of metal processing, all maintained within OSHA-permissible exposure limits. The role requires frequent movement through production areas involving concrete floors, metal platforms, inclines, ramps, uneven ground, and tight workspaces near operating machinery, forklifts, and material-handling equipment. Some tasks may occur outdoors or between buildings, requiring adaptability to varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times, and all employees receive safety training in accordance with OSHA standards, company policy, and industry best practices.


Essential Functions

  • Ability to solve basic mathematical equations.
  • Able to interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instructions


Education and Experience:


  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Work to continuously improve the operations of the department through lean activities and improvement suggestions
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours


Required Qualifications/Training


  • Sorting raw material and burn kits to be processed by the shear and break
  • Squaring up and shearing material accurately
  • Squaring up and breaking material accurately
  • Measures, marks, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work-piece as guides for subsequent machining as necessary for Burn Table
  • Burn Table
  • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., using proper lifting techniques and mechanical aids as appropriate.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods on hard surfaces such as concrete, metal, and fiberglass platforms.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, crouch, climb, and balance while positioning materials for shearing, breaking, or processing.
  • Ability to navigate ramps, inclines, uneven surfaces, stairs, and production walkways throughout the facility.
  • Ability to perform manual handling and repetitive motions while measuring, marking, setting equipment controls, or operating tools and machinery.
  • Sufficient hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle tools, operate the burn table, and perform precision measurements.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to read gauges, measurements, computer screens, safety information, and material specifications.
  • Ability to work in proximity to moving machinery, forklifts, and mechanical components while following established safety procedures.
