Job description

We are looking for experienced Field Service Technicians to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial reciprocating compressors across North America. This role is ideal for hands-on technicians with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience who enjoy traveling, working independently, and supporting industrial customers in the field.


Responsibilities


• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and compressor overhauls.

• Install, inspect, repair, and commission industrial reciprocating compressors and related equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Replace relays, sensors, transmitters, and perform basic PLC troubleshooting when required.

• Prepare service reports using Microsoft Word and Excel and communicate with customers using Outlook.

• Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism while working on customer sites.

• Travel approximately 80% throughout the United States, with occasional travel to Canada and Spain for training.

• Provide emergency support, including occasional weekend and holiday work when required.



Requirements


• 3+ years of experience servicing industrial reciprocating compressors, industrial engines, or similar rotating industrial equipment.

• Strong experience performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and overhauls.

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

• Experience replacing relays, sensors, transmitters, and performing basic PLC troubleshooting.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work independently in the field.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 80%.

• Experience with equipment from manufacturers such as Ariel, Burckhardt Compression,


HOERBIGER, Kaeser, Belliss & Morcom, AF Compressors, Ingersoll Rand, or similar.
