Job description

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business for our PEO services by prospecting, networking, and building relationships locally.  This is a front-line, activity driven role sited to someone who is coachable, resilient, and motivated by uncapped earning potential. Prior PEO or HR-services sales experience is a plus.  We are equally interested in candidates with strong people skills and a demonstrated hustle and any client-facing or sales environment.
Reports to Sales Manager
  • Prospects and generates new business leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach and community/business organizations (chambers of commerce, local associations, and events).
  • Conducts discovery meetings with prospective clients to understand their payroll, HR, benefits and compliance needs.
  • Presents and explains PEO service offerings, pricing, and value propositions to business owners and decision makers.
  • Manage a personal pipeline of prospects using the company CRM, tracking, follow-up, and deal stages.
  • Collaborate with implementation, payroll, and benefits teams to ensure a smooth handoff and onboarding for new clients.
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with brokers, accountants, attorneys and other centers of influence.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new-business activity and revenue targets.
  • Provide regular pipeline and activity updates to the Sales Manager.
Qualifications
  • 1 year of outside sales, business development or client-facing experience preferred: new to sales candidates with strong communication skills will be considered.
  • Comfortable with a high volume of prospecting, including cold outreach and in-person networking.
  • Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid Drivers license and reliable transportation. 
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
Compensation
  • Base plus commission structure, weighted towards a higher draw/base during the initial ramp period (approximately 6 months.
  • Transition to a commission-forward structure (approximately 20%of applicable revenue ) with a reduced base as the representative builds an active client pipeline.
