Job Description

We are looking for a General Service Technician who can accurately diagnose and repair the best Ford has to offer! As a Bumper to Bumper Technician, you will perform all warranty and non-warranty inspections as well as all diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work and oversee all apprentice employees assigned to you. Customer satisfaction comes from personal work habits and ethics and is of utmost importance as part of this job. The Technician will ensure customer satisfaction by completing the job correctly, cleanly, honestly, and on time for every service visit. In addition, the Technician will set goals for personal service improvement and will monitor his/her progress against customer satisfaction index numbers and production numbers as provided by the Service Manager.

The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old and has a high school diploma or GED, at least five years of vehicle-servicing experience, Ford certification, a valid driver's license and clean driving record, excellent customer service skills, and good computer skills. Candidates must be able to drive both standard and automatic vehicles and be able to diagnose and repair all mechanical & electrical systems and subsystems of gasoline engine equipped cars and light trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps safety a top priority!
  • Performs all warranty and non-warranty inspections as well as all diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work
  • Completes each and every job correctly, cleanly, honestly, and on time to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Oversees apprentice employees as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five years of vehicle-servicing experience
  • A "can-do" positive attitude!
  • Valid CA driver's license with a clean DMV record
  • Must be able to diagnose and repair all gas vehicles
  • Must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
  • Must be able to work safely and follow directions
  • Impressive work ethic
  • Good computer skills
