PART TIME PARK SERVICES
DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Parks & Recreation
HIRING RATE: $18.25/hr
BENEFITS OFFERED: No Benefits Offered
POSITION TO BE FILLED ASAP
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: 8 to 40 hours a week depending on Park and scheduling needs; will work late afternoons to closing though other times may be
available; shifts will primarily be Friday- Monday but may be scheduled any day of the week including holidays
LOCATION OF POSITION: Throughout Elkhart County Parks System, Goshen, Elkhart County
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Between Parks (complete driving page on application)
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include routine grounds, building, and equipment maintenance. Provides protection of park lands, facilities, and park visitors as well as security duties such as closing the parks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to operate and provide routine maintenance to lawn equipment and knowledge of light construction helpful
  • Able to work in all types of weather, walk rough terrain, lift up to 80lbs., handle heights and work in and around water
  • Ability to work professionally with the public and as a team with other staff
  • Interest in field of outdoor recreation
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screen
