Job description

Job Summary:
The New York State Democratic Committee seeks a Coordinated Campaign Deputy Data Director to join our data team in 2026. The Deputy Data Director will assist the Data Director in the execution of all data processes, including designing reports and tools while providing analysis and projections.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Data Director in tools and reports creation for evaluating coordinated campaign programming.
• Manage organizing software and corresponding data and analytics, including predictive dialers, texting software, relational organizing databases, and campaign volunteer databases.
• Maintain data standards to ensure data capture and hygiene.
• Respond to data support requests and flags.
• Collaborate with other departments on the coordinated campaign to integrate data insights into program execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Data Director.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proficiency with Votebuilder/VAN at an administrative level.
• Intermediate SQL experience and familiarity with Google sheets is required.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and the skills needed to work meaningfully with those who are culturally different from the self; a commitment to fostering a positive working environment grounded in the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Highly organized and independent work style; a strong ability to multitask and communicate.
• Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to build relationships, listen, collaborate, and lead with respect and professionalism.
Preferred:
• 1+ cycle of campaign experience, with specialization in data and analytics preferred.
