Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation Range: $125,000 - $165,000 annually + Variable compensation based on department performance

Build the Future of Building Automation Service

At BCM Controls, we're looking for more than someone to manage a service department, we're looking for a leader who enjoys developing people, building strong customer relationships, and continuously improving operations.

As our Building Automation Service Manager, you'll lead an experienced team of service technicians, programmers, and engineers supporting some of New England's most complex commercial, healthcare, life science, education, and mission-critical facilities.

If you're passionate about leadership, operational excellence, and helping both employees and customers succeed, we'd love to meet you.

Why BCM Controls?

BCM Controls is one of New England's leading Building Automation and Security Systems integrators and is proudly part of Comfort Systems USA, one of the nation's largest mechanical contracting organizations. We combine the stability and resources of a national company with the culture and agility of a local team.

Here you'll find:

  • Competitive salary with performance bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time
  • Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability
  • Opportunities for professional development and leadership growth
  • Collaborative leadership team with the ability to influence department strategy
  • A strong reputation built on customer relationships and technical excellence
What You'll Do

As the Building Automation Service Manager, you will provide operational leadership for our BAS Service Department while helping drive customer satisfaction, employee development, and long-term business growth.

  • Lead daily BAS service operations and coordinate field, engineering, and programming resources
  • Support customer escalations, site reviews, and service performance discussions
  • Manage department productivity, utilization, backlog, billing accuracy, and service KPIs
  • Coach, develop, and support service technicians, engineers, and support staff
  • Support complex BAS, HVAC controls, networking, and integration troubleshooting
  • Improve service processes, documentation, standards, and customer experience
  • Promote safety, accountability, teamwork, and company policy compliance

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of BAS, HVAC controls, or related service operations experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of BAS platforms, HVAC systems, controls applications, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with healthcare, commercial, education, life sciences, or mission-critical facilities preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO), Continuum, Niagara, Tridium, or similar BAS platforms.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, higher education, life science, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Financial and operational management experience including budgeting, forecasting, and departmental performance metrics.

Work Environment

This position includes a combination of office and field-based responsibilities. Periodic customer meetings and site visits are required.

Who Thrives Here

You'll likely enjoy this role if you:

  • Love coaching and developing people.
  • Believe customer relationships are just as important as technical expertise.
  • Enjoy improving processes instead of maintaining the status quo.
  • Like making decisions and taking ownership.
  • Want to help shape the future of a growing organization.
Join Our Team

At BCM Controls, our people are our greatest strength. We believe the best service organizations are built by investing in employees, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and continuously improving the way we work.

If you're ready to lead a talented team and make a lasting impact on one of New England's premier Building Automation organizations, we'd love to hear from you.
