Job description

Salary Range: $24.00-$29.59
Description: ย Educational Technician III


This position will be assigned to Buxton Center Elementary School.

  • Review and reinforce learning as directed by the classroom teacher or appropriate content specialist or assist in drill or practice activities.
  • Perform instructional, non-evaluative functions.

  • Assist in the preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions.

  • Introduce new learning preplanned in collaboration with the classroom teacher or appropriate content specialist.

Job Summary:ย 

  • Meet with the teacher or appropriate content specialist and receive instruction/direction on aย regular basis.

  • Perform short-term instruction and classroom management activities with indirect professionalย supervision; and

  • Supervise small groups of students in community-based programs with professional supervision.
  • Specialized student supervision as needed.
  • Additional duties, as required by the position, andย assigned. ย 

Experience in the following areas is preferred, but not required:

  • Kindergarten Jump Start training
  • Experience in Literacy
  • Experience supporting Literacy Center's


Qualifications: ย Current Ed Tech III Authorization and CHRC are required.

  • Document three years of post-secondary education or a combination equivalent to 60-90 hours of approved study in an educationally related field; or for vocational education 3 years of paid applied employment within the field of assignment;

  • Document participation in in-service training required in the specialty area of employment.

    Three years of post-secondary education. Ability to work courteously with adults and children and to promote positive public relations at all times.ย
