The Xfinity Mobile Arena is one of the world's busiest arenas, home of the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Villanova University basketball, family shows and concerts. Since opening in 1996, the arena is the centerpiece of sports and entertainment in the greater Philadelphia region as well as prominently featured in the national spotlight. The 21,000-seat arena is a showcase arena for the company's industry-leading qualities as an operator and an innovator in the live event experience.

Job Summary

Building Services Associates are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, sanitation, and overall presentation of Xfinity Mobile Arena before, during, and after sporting events, concerts, family shows, corporate events, and other special events. Employees play a critical role in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, entertainers, athletes, clients, contractors, and fellow employees.
Building Services Associates perform a variety of custodial, housekeeping, sanitation, and event support duties while following departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and quality standards. Employees are expected to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
We are hiring for multiple shifts.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all public and non-public areas of Xfinity Mobile Arena.

  • Clean seating bowl, concourses, premium areas, clubs, suites, locker rooms, offices, elevators, escalators, stairwells, entrances, loading docks, and back-of-house areas.

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, partitions, floors, baby changing stations, and dispensers.

  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility.

  • Replace trash liners and transport waste to designated collection areas.

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, dust, and polish assigned areas.

  • Remove spills and respond promptly to housekeeping requests during events.

  • Clean glass, windows, doors, handrails, walls, fixtures, and other surfaces.

  • Maintain high-touch surface sanitation throughout events and post-event operations.

  • Follow event schedules and daily work assignments provided by supervisors.

Equipment Operation

  • Safely operate cleaning equipment.

  • Inspect equipment before use and report any malfunctions immediately.

  • Clean and properly store equipment after each use.

  • Follow all manufacturers' operating procedures.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Report to work on time and prepared for assigned duties.

  • Review daily schedules and event assignments.

  • Follow supervisor instructions and departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Complete assigned work efficiently and within established timelines.

  • Maintain janitorial closets, supply rooms, and storage areas in an organized and clean condition.

  • Monitor supply levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.

  • Complete additional assignments as directed by Building Services leadership.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs including weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, reach, push, and pull.

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Push and pull loaded carts, trash containers, and cleaning equipment.

  • Perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout the work shift.

  • Operate powered cleaning equipment safely.

  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Work in environments containing dust, debris, cleaning chemicals, moisture, and noise associated with sporting events and concerts.

Base Pay: $18.00
