Position Overview

PASCO is seeking a Building Automation Systems Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive growth throughout our Upstate New York territory. This role blends sales leadership, technical consulting, and relationship management, working closely with building owners, engineers, and contractors to deliver advanced automation and control solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Develop sales goals and strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure long-term satisfaction
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrate building automation system capabilities
  • Work with sales personnel to develop project specifications, point lists, scopes of work, and proposals using plans and drawings
  • Assist with bidding and closing new projects
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and service teams to ensure project success
  • Monitor engineering, project management, and subcontractor performance to ensure contract compliance
  • Oversee pricing updates, bill-of-material cost structures, and estimating procedures
  • Track sales performance and prepare reports measuring success
  • Ensure accurate order processing and coordinate project handoff to engineering teams

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC applications, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, or related industry
  • Experience leading or managing a sales team
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prepare technical presentations and work with engineers and building owners
  • Proficiency with standard computer and office software applications
  • Valid NY State driver's license and ability to travel within the territory
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed and occasional overnight travel

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced business education
  • Experience in Energy Management Systems (EMS) or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
