Description
The Buffet Host/Hostess serves as an ambassador for Island View Casino and the outlet. The Host is responsible for welcoming, interacting, and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner to promote a truly unique environment and dining experience.
Creates and oversees the restaurant seating procedures. Tracks seating assignments to ensure proper guest count and server rotation. Monitors restaurant activity to determine the flow of the guests dining. Greets guests immediately upon their arrival, maintaining a cheerful, courteous disposition and a professional image. Escorts guests to their tables, provides rolled table setting. Communicates with the host stand in the event guests request another table.Completes assigned daily tasks, as directed. Assists other staff with side work such as cleaning, stocking and folding silverware as needed.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous guest service experience in a high-volume environment is highly preferred. A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
