Peaceful Pines Senior Living is committed to providing exceptional care and service with compassion. Our community offers a total of 60 independent living units, 29 assisted living units, and 32 memory care units located in the beautiful Black Hills.

Come Join Our Team! We are looking for a Buffet Host/Hostess who is interested in growing with the best and most empathetic staff around! As a meal attendant/buffet host at our facility, you will be responsible for providing a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for the independent living tenants and guests in the buffet during meal service for lunch and supper. Meal services are provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents. The ideal candidate understands that their role is beyond assisting in food preparation, meal service, and promoting cleanliness and sanitation in the independent living buffet; it is about making this place home to our Peaceful Pines family. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Greets residents in a professional and courteous manner while focusing on excellent dining service.
  • Provides nutritious, freshly prepared meals and snacks to residents daily.
  • Ability to operate kitchen and buffet equipment safely.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking, serving, sanitization, and kitchen procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards during food preparation and meal service which includes food prep, recording food temperatures, discarding expired items, cleaning the serving and dining areas, wiping off tables and chairs, doing the dishes, and sweeping and mopping the floors during and at end of the scheduled shift.
  • Stock all food item needs for next shift and assist with food and supply orders.
  • Prepares, stocks, and cleans drink stations.
  • Trash disposal.
  • Communicates with kitchen staff pertaining food item needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience working in environmental services, restaurants, and/or senior living.
  • Dependability and a contagiously positive attitude.
