Job description

OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE: Budget Assistant
LOCATION: St. Paul
PAY RATE: $16.50
HOURS: 15 hours/week during the summer, 10 hours/week during academic year
The position provides administrative support to the Budget Manager of Facilities Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist with accounts payable duties
    • Scan invoices
    • Review monthly vendor statements
    • Request missing invoices as needed
    • Process invoices
    • Set up vendors
    • Data entry in spreadsheets
  • Facilities Management Work Order System
    • Close work orders and enter budget index information
  • Online submission of University vehicle license tabs
  • Submit deposit receipt forms and deliver checks to the Business Office
  • Filing
    • PLT forms for Building Service Worker and Maintenance teams
    • Utility invoices

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Student pursuing an accounting or finance degree preferred
