Onyx and East is developing and building in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Columbus (OH), Tampa and St. Petersburg. In the Indianapolis/Carmel market, we are seeking a Sales Associate to support sales efforts in current and upcoming communities.


Job Summary:

The Sales Associate is a full-time sales position with the intent to graduate to a Sales Counselor position. The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the Sales Counselor by covering the sales center, preparing documents, and assisting in greeting and customer interaction at all stages of the sales process. In addition, the Sales Associate will partner with the sales team to build relationships with local Realtors, existing clients, and previous clients through events and strategic communication.

The position requires strong sales ability and a proven track record in sales and customer service. The Sales Associate must possess key traits including the ability to listen, overcome objections, educate, and problem solve for clients. In addition, the Sales Associate must possess organizational skills for accurate reporting and keen communication skills with clients and colleagues.


Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Strong ability to connect with people and understand their home buying interests and needs

· Ability to initiate prospective buyers, create rapport, and assist them through the home buying process

· Creative thinker, with the ability to bring suggestions and ideas to the buyers and to the overall sales team

· Must have the ability to read a floor plan, visualize the finished product, and communicate what will be built to a customer.

· Team closely with the construction and the design teams to set correct expectations for buyers.

· Manage purchasing agreements, monthly sales reports, and other documents as needed

· Ability to build strong relationships with the real estate brokers in the community

· Must be able to work most weekends at the model homes.

Requirements:

Experience and Skill Requirements:

· A Minimum of two years of sales experience

· Strong people and communication skills.

· Real estate experience preferred.

· College degree is preferred.
