What You'll Do:
Masterfully cook and finish steaks to guest specifications (rare to well-done) using our high-temperature
broilers
Ensure all food is prepared to Ruth's Chris quality standards and plating guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and kitchen line
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely, consistent service
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
Excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
Ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
Requirements:
DESIRED BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:
* Experience in full service restaurant.
* Must be able to lift, handle, carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies and paper goods at a minimum of 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
* Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
* Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, other employees, vendors, suppliers and other business representatives.
* Must be able to taste - to be able to distinguish between and among flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel and smell - to distinguish between and among odors and scents as to their appeal and level of intensity for all food and beverage products.
