Bridge Design Engineer – Long Span Bridge Design

Location: Mechanicsburg, PA 17050
Position Type: Full Time
Education Level: Minimum 4 Year Degree
Job Category: Long Span Bridge Design

What We’re Looking For
  • 4+ years related Bridge Design Experience
  • At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
  • MS in Civil Engineering is preferred
  • Ideal candidates will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE
  • Possesses specialized knowledge in one or more areas of bridge analysis and design (e.g., concrete analysis, time dependent post-tensioned concrete, seismic, foundations, etc.)
What You’ll Do
  • Identify complex problems, evaluate options, and suggest/implement solutions.
  • Effectively manage time and resources in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Mentor entry level engineers.
  • Use computer assisted design and drafting software.
  • Use advanced engineering analysis software.
  • Design, detail and create contract plan sheets for bridge related projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Project Managers, administrative supervisor, other team members, clients and subcontractors.
  • Receive and convey ideas and information effectively, both orally and in writing, with co-workers, Project Managers, administrative supervisor, other team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Produce project related internal and external correspondence.
