Job description

BRIDGE CARPENTER
CWR is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a highly skilled bridge Carpenter for our local operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Construct, install, and remove concrete forms, falsework, and temporary structures for bridge decks, abutments, piers, and parapets
  • Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate layout and construction
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and metal form systems
  • Assist with concrete pours, finishing preparation, and form stripping
  • Install bridge components such as railings, expansion joints, and miscellaneous structural elements
  • Work safely at heights using scaffolding, lifts, and fall protection systems
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Coordinate with foremen, equipment operators, and concrete crews to meet production schedules
  • Perform repairs, modifications, and rehabilitation work on existing bridge structures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years' experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a bridge carpenter or heavy civil carpenter preferred
  • Knowledge of concrete form systems and bridge construction methods
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
  • Familiarity with roadway and bridge safety requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed
  • Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's license
  • Employer conducts drug testing and background check
