Job description

Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP is seeking a versatile Senior Business Attorney with a strong background in both business litigation and corporate transactional matters to join our award-winning team. We are a reputable and forward-thinking mid-sized law firm, recognized for our sixth consecutive year as a Best Law Firm by Best Lawyers.

ย As an integral member of our Business Team, you will be responsible for handling a wide variety of business litigation matters involving breach of contract, partnership/dissolution, real estate, and intellectual property (copyright and trademark) disputes. You will also represent clients in a variety of transactional matters including forming and maintaining entities, drafting employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, asset purchase agreements, equity transfer agreements, and more. The ideal candidate will also have experience in estate planning.

You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. This role requires an individual who can independently manage a diverse caseload while providing mentorship and professional development guidance to junior associates. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role at our firm.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience handling business litigation matters from inception to conclusion involving breach of contract, partnership/dissolution, real estate, and intellectual property (copyright and trademark) disputes
  • Proficient in drafting corporate formation documents, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, asset purchase agreements, and equity transfer agreements; experience in estate planning is preferred but not required
  • Experience supervising associates, including providing instruction, training, and constructive feedback to assist in their professional development
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills with a client-focused mindset
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Current admission to the California State Bar is required.

The expected base salary range is $150,000-$250,000, however actual compensation will be determined based on experience (this does not include bonus plan).
