Job description

Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP is seeking a dedicated Family Law Administrative Assistant to join our award-winning team in our Newport Beach headquarters.

We are a reputable and forward-thinking mid-sized law firm, recognized for our sixth consecutive year as a Best Law Firm by U.S. News & World Report's Best Lawyers. As an Administrative Assistant, you will have an essential role in supporting our Family Law team of intake coordinators, legal assistants, attorneys, and clients and contributing to our continued success. This is a fantastic opportunity for any individual who has an interest in the professional legal field, specifically in Family Law.

Responsibilities
  • Client intake
  • Conflict reports
  • Organizing consultation packets
  • Opening files
  • Handling of family law documents
  • Redacting
  • Drafting of discovery shells
  • Preparing binders
  • Scanning
  • Filing
  • Uploading, indexing and organizing records within our docket management system
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Able to prioritize assignments while assisting attorneys with tasks
  • Excellent phone and communication skills
  • Ability to lift semi-heavy objects
