Breakthru Physical Therapy & Fitness is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Howell, New Jersey. Located in Howell, New Jersey, the rehabilitation facility is designed to provide a serene and motivating environment in which our clients can thrive. The work setting is onsite, offering a collaborative atmosphere where physical therapists and other healthcare practitioners work together for the benefit of each patient. Daily operations occur from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured schedule while also supporting work-life balance.

• Conduct initial evaluations to assess each patient’s physical condition and needs, focusing on orthopedic diagnoses.
• Develop, implement, and regularly modify individualized treatment plans tailored to maximize patient outcomes based on documented progress.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to guide treatment modalities and ensure the highest standard of care for musculoskeletal conditions.
• Document progress reports meticulously, capturing objective measures, treatment plans, patient responses, and recommendations for equipment.
• Educate patients and their families through group sessions and one-on-one consultations to enhance understanding of their conditions and treatment regimens.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate cohesive plans for patient care and rehabilitation.
• Stay current on research and best practices in orthopedic therapy to continually enhance clinical capabilities.

This role primarily involves working with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal pain. You will engage with a diverse population, assessing varying levels of physical ability and tailoring approaches that respect the unique circumstances and recovery goals of each individual. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as fostering trust and encouraging patient participation are critical components of successful therapy.

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is mandatory.
• An active state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey is required.
• 3-4 years of professional experience as a physical therapist in an orthopedic setting is expected.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with patients and healthcare team members, emphasizing strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in assessing and diagnosing orthopedic conditions, coupled with a solid understanding of treatment methodologies.

• Experience with specific therapies or interventions, such as manual therapy techniques, modalities, and therapeutic exercises geared towards orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with documentation systems and scheduling software to maintain patient records and appointments effectively.
• Participation in multidisciplinary team settings, emphasizing collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
