Job description

Position Title: Branch Manager

Department: Operations Management

Reports To: Regional Manager

Position Type: Exempt / Full-time

 

General Summary

The Branch Manager acts as the primary leader of all aspects of the branch operations. The role oversees daily field operations, warehouse, office support staff, and manage the P&L (profit and loss) to ensure expected revenue and customer satisfaction.    

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise and manage the workflow of branch staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of office, warehouse, and field duties.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with staff to monitor workflow and deadlines.
  • Oversee and manage all branch operations and operational budget.
  • Ensure that the field staff adheres to builders’ scheduled timeline for installation. 
  • Acts as primary point of contact for vendors and customers.
  • Resolve escalated issues or conflicts.
  • Assist sales staff in pursuing and retaining sales and business development opportunities.
  • Recruit and retain adequate subcontractor labor pool.
  • Audit installer back charges.
  • Oversee inventory control and logistics to ensure efficient order fulfillment, delivery, and installation.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources for recruitment, performance, and development needs.
  • Other management, administrative, and/or clerical duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in the construction industry.  Flooring management experience is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills, conflict resolutions skills, and leadership abilities.
  • Prior experience using scheduling software, JDE, Microsoft Office, and ERP software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide solutions to unexpected challenges. Thinking outside the box to ensure customer satisfaction.  


Other Requirements

  • This role would require the ability to lift, push, and/or pull loads in excess of 50 lb.
  • Fundamental mathematical comprehension required.
  • Ability to multi-task is required.
  • Deep understanding of flooring materials (hardwood, tile, LVP, carpet) and other materials as needed (cabinets, countertops, specialty products)
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and clean MVR required. 
  • Travel required: daily travel required.
