Role Overview

Ferguson is seeking a hands-on Branch Manager to support Action Automation and the ACE MOV program. This role will provide operational leadership for the location, with responsibility for day-to-day branch execution, shipping and receiving coordination, production tracking, inventory support, safety/ISO/audit readiness, billing support, and overall operational follow-through.

This position is intended to create clear ownership of the branch operations function so the sales, product, and shop teams can remain focused on customers, quoting, order execution, technical support, inventory strategy, and continued program growth.

Position Details

  • Supports Action Automation and the national ACE MOV program
  • Hands-on operational leadership role with broad responsibility across branch administration, production support, safety, inventory, shipping, and facility needs
  • Initial focus will be managing the work and daily operational execution, with potential to evolve as the team and program continue to grow

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day branch operations and ensure operational tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Support shipping and receiving activity, including shipment coordination, receiving follow-up, freight claims, and warehouse issue resolution
  • Manage or support production tracking, including production log updates, order status, serial numbers, order numbers, required pictures, and supporting documentation
  • Support inventory-related activity, including inventory in transit, inventory prep, cycle count reconciliation, excess/old PO follow-up, open PO reporting, inventory adjustments, and related reporting
  • Assist with billing and administrative follow-up, including invoice preview, repair billing, credits, rebills, service call PO tracking, defective debits, and customer credit/RFC support
  • Serve as a key point of contact for ISO, FM, ISN, safety, audit preparation, safety walks, safety documentation, and related compliance needs
  • Coordinate facility and branch needs, including supplies, building tests, inspections, used solvent pickup, and other general location requirements
  • Partner with sales, product, shop, warehouse, and operations teams to improve branch processes and remove roadblocks
  • Help maintain accountability and follow-through across open orders, operational tasks, documentation, and customer-impacting issues
  • Support branch training, engagement, reporting, and miscellaneous operational responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior Ferguson, industrial, branch operations, warehouse, logistics, or operations leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of branch operations, inventory, shipping/receiving, billing support, and customer service processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and follow through in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working hands-on and wearing multiple hats as the branch and program continue to grow
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, warehouse, shop, product, and leadership teams
  • Ability to use data, reports, and daily operating metrics to identify issues and drive improvement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and related business systems
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, accountability, and customer-focused execution
