Job description

Position Summary:   This position is accountable and responsible for providing profitable growth utilizing innovative management techniques. In addition, Branch Managers are directly responsible for protecting the branch facility assets, creating and monitoring the branch budget and maintaining a high level of ethics in all transactions.  Directs sales programs and distribution by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all branch personnel, actively fostering a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization.
  • Develops a growing and profitable business which provides a return on capital consistent with company objectives. 
  • Knowledge of market conditions, key customers and competitive conditions.
  • Recommends pricing and sales effort to the local market; as well as, confers with customers and representatives to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area.  
  • Ensures that programs exist to maintain and update plant and equipment in order to meet and/or exceed local competitors’ capabilities.
  • Coordinates sales and operations in accordance with policies and procedures established by management.
  • Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the TW Metals policies and applicable laws.
  • Own and manage all aspects of branch Profit and Loss, including sales, operations, administration, and EBITDA performance.
  • Ensure efficient and effective execution of branch policies and procedures to achieve financial and operational objectives

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position requires well developed management skills, ability to manage employees and sales programs, knowledge of operations and distribution, as well as an understanding of the branch’s objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in business administration or related area, and/or 5 years metals industry sales experience.
  • Strong sales skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees, management and customers are a must for this position. 
  • Ability to work effectively with common PC programs such as spreadsheets (Excel) and word processing (Word) and the ability to learn mainframe program (Metalware). 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to read, write, and fluently speak the English language.  Ability to read and comprehend concepts of moderate to high difficulty and ability to communicate responses and actions related to these concepts.  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
