Job description

Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist – Direct Hire
Location: Florence, KY (Onsite – No Relocation)
Salary: $52K – $65K annually
Duration: 12 Months (Full-Time)

Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate processing of third-party and intercompany invoices, statement audits, and issue resolution for multiple company payables.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices by verifying details, resolving discrepancies, and entering data
  • Prepare and organize documents for imaging and filing
  • Review and process check and refund requests with supporting documentation
  • Ensure payments comply with company terms and compliance standards
  • Respond to phone, email, and walk-in inquiries; research and resolve issues
  • Analyze vendor accounts, monitor credit balances, and request refunds when needed
  • Support W-9 and 1099 processes for vendor and tax reporting
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail and maintain record retention files
  • Communicate with internal teams and external vendors
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies
  • Use Word and Excel to complete daily tasks
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience (preferred)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle Financial Systems and BPCS (AS400) (preferred)
