Job description

Position Reports To:  Bottling Supervisor   

Direct Reports:  None     

FLSA status:  Full-time, Non-exempt

Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 5:30 pm-6:00 am (with some ot required)

Position Purpose:  

The Seasonal General Bottling Operator (GBO) supports the safe and efficient operation of our bottling and packaging processes during the weekend shift. This role helps ensure products meet quality standards while supporting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Core Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks as described by the Bottling Supervisor or other Management personnel such as;    

    • Glass Uncasing: Safely remove glass containers from packaging to prepare for further processing.

    • Hand Corking: Manually insert corks into bottles, ensuring a secure seal.

    • Shrink-Sleeving: Apply shrink sleeves to products, ensuring proper fit and appearance.

    • Case Erecting: Assemble and set up cardboard boxes for product packaging.

    • Hang-Tagging: Attach hang tags to products as required.

    • Palletizing: Stack and arrange packaged products onto pallets for shipment.

    • Re-working: Inspect and repackage products as necessary to meet quality standards.

    • Label Writing: Manually write or affix labels to products and packages.

    • Cardboard Bailing: Compress and bundle cardboard waste for recycling.

  • Maintain a clean work area.    

  • Adhere to Strong Spirits good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).  

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent education preferred. 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Able to follow directions.

  • Able to work physically close to other employees.  

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.  


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Fast paced, warehouse and industrial environment.

  • Exposure to hazardous materials such as alcohol and chemicals, loud noise, and moderate heat/cold.

  • Essential physical requirements, such as frequent climbing, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching , crawling, reaching and lifting, occasionally above shoulders.

  • Physical effort/lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Some overtime required.

  • Able to stand and walk all day with minimal breaks.

  • Able to lift, carry and pull 50 pounds or less.

  • Able to kneel, squat, bend, and climb.

  • Able to work around alcohol and other flammable liquids.

  • Able to visually inspect products.
