What is bottleneck management?

Bottleneck management is the process of identifying, analyzing, and addressing constraints or bottlenecks that limit the efficiency and output of a workflow, production line, or business process. The goal is to ensure that these bottlenecks do not slow down the entire system, thereby increasing overall productivity. This is typically achieved by monitoring key performance indicators, reallocating resources, and implementing process improvements to optimize throughput. Effective bottleneck management can lead to reduced costs, improved quality, and faster delivery times.
