Job description

Bookkeeper

A well-established construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term career stability.

Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process vendor invoices and customer payments.
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
Assist with payroll processing and timecard review.
Prepare monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
Track project costs and job costing.
Maintain lien waivers, subcontractor documentation, and W-9s.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
Ensure accurate and organized financial records.
Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and customers regarding billing and payment inquiries.
Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Experience with job costing and construction accounting.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage 100 Contractor, Foundation, or similar accounting software.
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
