Job description

Job Summary: Performs a variety of clerical, financial, and secretarial duties in direct support of the Multilingual Learners (ML) program coordinator, including purchase orders, requisitions, bookkeeping, and program record management. Serves as a bridge between the district and families by acting as a primary point of contact for those entering the program. In addition to administrative data management and staff support, this role plays an active part in the welcoming and identification process, ensuring families are informed and supported from their initial interaction with the district.
New Hire Hourly Rate: Grade 8: $24.84-$27.81 DOE

Internal Hourly Rate: Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement
Work Day: 7.5 hours per day
Work Year: 12 months
Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)
Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):




  1. Must meet at least one of the following three qualifications:
    1. Associate's degree or higher; or
    2. Completion of at least two years of higher education (48 semester hours or equivalent); or
    3. High school diploma or equivalent and completion of the ParaProfessional Assessment, or the ability to pass the ParaProfessional Assessment within four (4) months of hire.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of administrative office support and/or office management experience, including advanced computer, database, recordkeeping, and document preparation skills. Demonstrated experience may substitute for the post-secondary education requirement.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and communicate professionally with diverse audiences using tact and diplomacy.
  4. Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with careful attention to detail and deadlines.
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as experience working with Mac, PC, and Chrome operating systems.
  6. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining reliability, professionalism, and responsiveness to constructive feedback.
