Responsibilities
  • Provide coverage and support for reception and mail to ensure all duties are fulfilled
  • Assist with documenting and updating administrative and reception manuals and processes
  • Create and maintain templates, forms, letters, and spreadsheets
  • Assist with organizing meetings/events, including arranging catering, locations, and distribution of information
  • Orders and maintains office supplies, business cards and other special items for department
  • Assist in electronically filing and archiving documents
  • Assist in operating and maintaining department specific software
  • Provides accurate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint support by composing or editing a variety of documents

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma or certificate in office administration program considered an asset
  • 1 year of experience in an administrative role or equivalent technical experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential items of mail in accordance with PCL's code of conduct
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult calls or situations
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents
  • Basic skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
  • Must be able to walk distances, climb stairs and stand for periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds consistently
  • Ability to safely climb a ladder to stack and retrieve supplies when required
