Position Status: Regular, Full-time (1.0 FTE)

EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Booking Clerk to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care!

EFW Radiology owns and operates eleven community-based clinics providing Diagnostic Imaging, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Pain Management services.

The Role: The Booking Clerk is responsible for responding to requests for patient appointments, working collaboratively with the Booking team and other modality staff to coordinate a superior patient experience.

Reporting to: Booking Call Center Supervisor

Role Overview:

  • Perform various booking functions and ensures that physician requirements and patient needs are met in an efficient manner.
  • Manage large numbers of inbound calls.
  • Ensure all telephone calls are answered promptly, consistently exercising utmost diplomacy and tact, to ensure exceptional service to both patients and physicians.
  • Listen effectively to patients needs and provide exceptional patient care at all times.
  • Complete data entry for patients demographics and appointment information according to EFW procedures.
  • Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures as they relate to EFW, our patients and our employees.
  • Demonstrate EFW values of Compassion, Trust, and Meaning in the workplace.
  • Undertake other related duties as assigned.

You have the following:

  • Medical Office Assistant diploma including completion of a recognized medical terminology course is a strong asset.
  • Previous call center experience, along with booking radiology and diagnostic imaging appointments would be an asset.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to give clear instructions and ask probing questions in a caring manner.
  • Logical, analytical and critical thinking required.
  • Customer focused and adaptability to different personality types.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment along with proven resilience in difficult situations.
  • Ability to learn new computer programs quickly and efficiently.

Schedule/Location: The Booking Clerk will work Monday to Friday at our Head Office in SE Calgary in a call centre environment that requires prolonged periods of sitting and frontline patient interaction over the phone. Booking Clerks are required to work the occasional Saturday shift on a rotational basis.
