Job description

Inside Sales Account Executive
Fenton, MI
Hybrid - Onsite & Remote
Prior Commission Sales Experience Required
The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated, driven Inside Sales Account Executive to join our growing insurance agency. This is a sales-focused position for someone who enjoys building relationships, helping clients solve problems, and being rewarded for results.
Your primary responsibility will be to build and grow a book of insurance business by working with prospective and existing clients, identifying their insurance needs, and presenting customized solutions from a wide range of highly rated insurance carriers.
You will have the support, training, technology, and resources needed to succeed-but your success will ultimately be driven by your ability to communicate, build trust, follow up, and close business.
What You'll Do
  • Work with inbound leads, referrals, and existing client opportunities to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Contact prospective clients by phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their personal insurance needs and risk exposures.
  • Analyze insurance options from more than 20 A-rated insurance providers to find the right coverage and value.
  • Prepare and present personalized insurance solutions.
  • Quote and sell personal insurance products while providing an exceptional client experience.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects to move opportunities through the sales process.
  • Cross-sell and identify additional insurance needs as client relationships develop.
  • Maintain accurate client and sales activity records.
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals and agency objectives.
  • Develop a profitable book of business and generate recurring renewal income.
What We're Looking For
You're a proven salesperson.
You have previous commission-based sales experience and understand that your income and success are directly connected to your performance. You are comfortable asking for the sale, overcoming objections, and following up until you get an answer.
You're competitive and goal-oriented.
You like setting goals, tracking your results, and exceeding expectations. You don't need someone constantly looking over your shoulder to stay motivated.
You're a strong communicator.
You can build trust quickly over the phone and in person. You know how to listen, ask the right questions, explain complicated information clearly, and make clients feel confident in their decisions.
You're driven to succeed.
You understand that building a successful book of business takes consistency, discipline, and persistence. You are willing to put in the work and learn from both your successes and setbacks.
You're a team player.
We believe great salespeople don't work in isolation. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, share ideas, and contribute to a team that is committed to delivering an exceptional client experience.
You want more than just a job.
As our agency continues to grow, successful team members will have opportunities to take on additional responsibility, mentor others, manage sales operations, and potentially become leaders within the organization.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base compensation
  • New business commissions
  • Renewal commissions
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Medical insurance
  • Paid vacation
  • Professional development and ongoing training
  • Mentorship and coaching
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Opportunity to build a valuable, recurring book of business
  • Career advancement opportunities
Your Opportunity to Grow
This position is designed for someone who wants to build a career in sales, not simply work a sales job.
As you demonstrate success, you may have the opportunity to:
  • Mentor and train new sales team members
  • Take on leadership responsibilities
  • Help manage a sales office
  • Develop and lead sales initiatives
  • Advance into agency management
  • Become a partner in the organization
Why Join Us?
We are building a team of professionals who are hard-working, competitive, honest, ambitious, and committed to doing what's right for the client.
If you have a proven sales track record, enjoy the challenge of earning your success, and want the opportunity to build something for yourself while being part of a growing organization, we'd like to meet you.
If you're ready to build your book of business and take your sales career to the next level, apply today.
