Position Summary
The BOM Specialist supports daily manufacturing operations by assisting the engineering team and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs). This hands-on role helps ensure smooth communication, accurate production data, and efficient product builds across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory.


Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Office Support
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the engineering and production teams
  • Organize and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Help track and process engineering changes and updates
  • Keep records current and accurate in the ERP system and shared files
  • Coordinate meetings, compile notes, and follow up on action items
  • Serve as a go-to contact between engineering, the shop floor, and the front office
BOM & Manufacturing Support
  • Create, update, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufactured products
  • Ensure BOMs match approved drawings and current production methods
  • Enter and maintain part numbers, descriptions, and revisions
  • Work with purchasing to ensure materials are correct and available
  • Support manufacturing by quickly resolving BOM or part issues that affect production
  • Assist with new product setups, changes, and production launches
  • Help maintain material accuracy to support inventory control and cost awareness
