• Prioritize and optimize BOM change requests based on business needs, compliance requirements, and implementation timelines.
• Use PLM/PDM, ERP/MRP, spreadsheet, and database tools to extract, manipulate, analyze, and report BOM data
• Experience in Medical Device industry
Roles & Responsibilities
Role Summary
Own and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) lifecycle for assigned medical device products, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance from concept through production and obsolescence.
Core Responsibilities
• BOM creation and structure: Develop and maintain hierarchical BOMs, including EBOMs and MBOMs, with accurate part numbers, quantities, units of measure, revisions, and usage notes to support engineering, manufacturing, and service teams.
• Configure and manage BOM data in ERP/ Planning System. Create and maintain data integrity.
• Change control and ECO management: Lead engineering change orders impacting BOMs by evaluating scope, updating BOM items, coordinating approvals, and updating downstream manufacturing and procurement records.
• Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Material Planning, and Regulatory teams to validate BOM content, assess substitute parts, and resolve discrepancies.
