Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operation of light, medium and heavy equipment including forklift.
  • Ability to assemble various threaded products at appropriate/acceptable rates.
  • Pull and deliver parts to work center, referring to work order or pick list.
  • Handles parts with care to avoid cosmetic and physical damage.
  • Perform basic repetitive operations such as drilling, grinding, deburring and simple assembly tasks.
  • Perform basic assembly operations to exacting tolerances' work with various types of parts including rotating shafts, gear trains, mechanical structures and sprockets.
  • Operation of various hand-operated tools related to steel fabrication.
  • Operate eye bolt bender.
  • Maintains equipment and performs daily inspections of equipment.
  • Must be able to use welding equipment or the ability to learn welding procedures.
  • Set up equipment needed for threading and bending that is needed in the manufacturing production process of steel fabricated products.
  • Tears down and set up shearing machines used to necessary items for threaded products.
  • Cleans and maintains workstation to be used daily in the production process.
  • Regular, timely attendance to meet organizational needs in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Performs special projects or assignments as directed.
  • Must be able to follow all appropriate safety practices.
  • Must be able to comprehend and retain safety programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior forklift and operator experience a plus
  • Basic knowledge of threaded operational procedures.
  • Able to use hand tools.
  • Basic mathematics skills and be able to read a measuring tape.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used. Must be able to push or pull a cart with 80 pounds of force.
  • Basic knowledge in the operation of computer and computer software a plus

  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment is needed to perform essential functions.

The approximate pay range for this position is$18-20/hour. Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
