Job description

United Precision Products is hiring a Thread Roller / Fastener Manufacturing Operator to support our aerospace fastener manufacturing operation in Dearborn Heights, MI.

We are a 100% aerospace manufacturer producing internal engine fasteners, double-ended studs, and precision components used in critical aerospace applications. This role is highly important to our production process, as most of our parts require thread rolling before completion.

Thread rolling is a hands-on, mechanical trade. We are open to training the right person, but candidates must have strong mechanical ability, manufacturing experience, and the willingness to learn a specialized skill in aerospace fastener production.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate thread rolling equipment used in aerospace fastener manufacturing
  • Roll threads on double-ended studs and other precision components
  • Read and follow work instructions, prints, and job specifications
  • Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools
  • Inspect parts throughout production to ensure quality standards are met
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment as needed
  • Work with super alloys and precision aerospace components
  • Maintain production pace while following quality and safety standards
  • Communicate with supervisors, quality, and production teams
  • Keep work area clean, safe, and organized

Qualifications:

  • Thread rolling experience preferred, but not required for mechanically inclined candidates
  • Fastener manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with bolt, screw, stud, or metal forming production is a plus
  • Machine operation, CNC, screw machine, header, or precision manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and gauges preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required
  • Ability to work with your hands in a manual manufacturing environment
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn
  • Must be able to commute to Dearborn Heights, MI
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
