Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Firstline Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join the 737 P-8 team in Renton, Washington for a Variable Shift .

This position is about helping our teammates and peers elevate and accelerate our business, while holding steadfast to our values: Safety & Quality, People Focus, Trust, Ownership, & Innovation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete this assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ year of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work any shift and/or weekends as assigned

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years ofrelated work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership position
  • 3+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that requires effective interpersonal communication skills that supports collaboration of team members
