Mid-Level Manufacturing Research and Development Technician

The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level Manufacturing Research and Development Technician to support the Mesa, AZ facility.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Collects information to support definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture and engineering design of products.
  • Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
  • Works under general direction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional organizations to develop and execute strategies, plans, and metrics that align with and achieve business objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership on manufacturing projects that improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project plans, milestones, and status reports to stakeholders.
  • Use strong problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills to develop innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Work with minimal direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
  • Ensure solutions and recommendations are consistent with organizational goals and have long-lasting impact on the business.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A Final Secret Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years' experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years' experience working with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • 1+ years' experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • More than 7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to look forward strategically and develop detailed solutions and specifications
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
