POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Body Shop Manager, the Body Shop Supervisor is responsible for Supervising all Personnel and activities within the Body Shop/Heavy Repair and Refurbishment department, ensuring, and maintaining customer satisfaction through quality at the source.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Coordinate all activities of Technicians within the Body Shop and Heavy Repair and Refurbishment area to Include Paint, Body, Refurbishments, Repowers, and Retrofits.
  • Ensures Quality At The Source process is in place and followed with parts availability, scheduling, and maintaining work instructions
  • Track technician time and ensure through put is consistent with process flow and execution to meet completion dates as set out by the Body Shop Manager.
  • Supervise technicians to ensure the execution of quality and safe work and apply work rules and company policy in all aspects of operations.
  • Coordinate and ensure parts deliveries in co-operation with the parts supervisor to ensure the throughput is consistent with process flow and execution to meet completion dates as set out by the Body Shop Manager.
  • Perform estimating, pre and post work inspections ensuring the highest level of quality and maintaining OEM installation standards.
  • Maintain the highest standard of punctuality, professionalism, and workplace efficiency.
  • Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of duty and quickly discern and disengage from activities that are not work related during the course of meetings and conversations and other employees, vendors, customers and electronic communications.
  • Maintain workplace organization and ensure workshop cleanliness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree or Technical School Certificate preferred
  • 5+ years experience in related industry
  • 3+ years Supervisory experience
  • Technical Expertise with Heavy Repair, Collision, Refurbishment and Body shop activities
  • PC Skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to supervise multiple tasks independently
