Job description

Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Host/Hostess for our dining venues. The Host/Hostess is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of dining room employees while engaging in providing courteous and rapid service to members and guests. Prior customer service experience working within an upscale club, restaurant, hotel or resort environment is preferred. Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills are required. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Immediately greets all members and guests upon arrival.
  • Engage members in conversation to ascertain their seating preferences.
  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships, recognize membership by name and retain member preferences.
  • Escort members and guests to the table.
  • Be aware of the flow of service throughout the dining venue and communicate with manager/supervisor to coordinate incoming reservations and table re-sets.
  • Manage the cover counts per server to ensure balance of service throughout the room and offer equal earning potential.
  • Maintain an accurate and consistently updated floor plan, records of service provided and other administrative duties as assigned to ensure the success of the venue.
  • Schedule and book dining reservations through concierge.

  • Previous experience in a upscale restaurant, hotel, or country club environment, preferred
  • Knowledge of JONAS, preferred
  • Evening availability required
