This role earns $45,000 - $60,000/year depending on qualifications and skills (combining the base rate plus tips). We're also offering:

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 18+ years old
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Passion for working with dogs, keeping them safe, and supporting their welfare
  • Working knowledge of dog behavior, health conditions, and body language
  • Positive, team-oriented, and customer service-driven attitude
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and trustworthy personality
  • Leadership and delegation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to others, motivate your team, and follow through on tasks
  • Close attention to detail with the ability to work independently
  • Problem-solving skills and motivation to get things done
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Our ideal Canine Boarding Manager is also skilled with computers, social media, and Photoshop.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR CANINE BOARDING MANAGER

  • Collaborating with the owner, general manager, and care managers to provide amazing pet care services and keep all dogs happy and healthy
  • Delegating tasks to your team and stepping in as needed to help care for the dogs
  • Managing our reservation system and accurately scheduling/rescheduling/cancelling appointments
  • Processing payments and completing financial reports
  • Maintaining open communication and a collaborative environment
  • Training team members and supporting staff development

We are a special place for dogs to have a vacation in New Germany, Minnesota, just 20 minutes west of Lake Minnetonka. Here, dogs get to enjoy 5 to 6 hours of group play and fun activities every day with our caring staff, who help them learn good social skills. We also give 10% of our profits to the Top Dog Foundation to help rescue older dogs whose owners can't care for them anymore. Our workplace is friendly, supportive, and fun. We value everyone's love for animals, encourage learning, and make sure each employee feels important.
