Day-to-day tasks may include coordinating appointments, advocating for patients, providing education about prenatal and postnatal care, and monitoring clients' progress. They often collaborate closely with obstetricians, nurses, social workers, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to maternal and infant health. This role may involve both in-person visits and remote communications, depending on the employer and client needs. Successfully managing these responsibilities requires strong organizational skills and a compassionate approach to supporting diverse families.
