Basney BMW Mazda is a dealership in South Bend, Indiana. We are seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of both foreign and domestic vehicles. The Technician must have an aptitude for providing outstanding customer service, an attention to detail, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The pay for this position is a base plus commission. Basney also offers a number of benefits, such as health insurance and retirement savings contributions.
Responsibilities
• Perform maintenance and repairs on all types of vehicles, both foreign and domestic.
• Diagnose car defects and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform brake jobs: wheel bearings, rotors, axle repair, etc.
• Disassemble and reassemble engine components as necessary.
• Identify and utilize proper tools in order to complete job requirements.
• Ensure the quality of all work performed and use of appropriate parts and components.
• Track schedule of repairs, findings, and recommended repairs.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and mechanics.
Requirements
• Automotive or Mechanical Engineering degree/certification a plus
• At least 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
• Thorough knowledge of both foreign and domestic vehicles
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle issues
• Working knowledge of automotive repair and service processes
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a team environment
