Overview of the Cloud Operations Engineer – Maxit Platform

The Cloud Operations Engineer supports the day-to-day operational stability of BetaNXT’s Maxit cloud platform. This role focuses on executing established operational processes, supporting production changes and maintenance activities, and contributing to incident response and post-incident follow-up under defined guidance.

The role works closely with Cloud Operations team members, engineering partners, and external service providers to help maintain platform reliability, support governance processes, and elevate issues appropriately. This position is best suited for an individual contributor who is building depth in cloud operations within a structured, high-availability environment.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Cloud Operations Engineer – Maxit Platform
  • Support daily production operations for the Maxit platform by following established monitoring, escalation, and support procedures
  • Assist with production change activities by reviewing requests, confirming readiness tasks, and documenting operational considerations
  • Participate in change governance and CAB processes by preparing information, raising operational questions, and tracking follow-up items
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with internal teams and external partners to support timely and low-risk execution
  • Contribute to incident response efforts by gathering information, supporting communication, and helping document outcomes and next steps
  • Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident review sessions to capture operational lessons learned and assigned actions
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation, schedules, and support records related to production events and recurring processes
  • Escalate risks, blockers, or production concerns promptly to senior team members and appropriate stakeholders
Skills & Experience of the Cloud Operations Engineer – Maxit Platform
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure support, site reliability, or a related production support environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Working knowledge of production support processes, including incident response, change control, and maintenance coordination
  • Familiarity with enterprise cloud environments and the ability to follow operational procedures in a high-availability setting
  • Exposure to BMC Control-M or similar workload automation and scheduling tools is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document work clearly, follow through on tasks, and manage recurring operational activities
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to learn quickly, apply feedback, and escalating appropriately when issues exceed defined scope or authority
