Job description

The Project Manager (PM) has full responsibility for an entire project. He/she is responsible for safety, quality, schedule, coordination, profitability and progress of the work. The PM will be the first point of contact for the owner and handles all commercial aspects. He/she will be involved in the project from advertisement to estimating and award through construction and final completion. The PM will be responsible for one or more projects depending on contract amounts and project demand.
Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Estimating
  • Correspondence and negotiations with client
  • Subcontract and purchase order preparation and approval
  • Job cost reviews
  • Cost forecast reviews
  • Change order and claim preparation
  • M/W/DBE selection, auditing, and compliance
  • Scheduling oversight
  • Invoice approval
  • Site staff personnel management
  • Control estimate preparation
  • Monitoring of compliance with quality and safety standards

Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum of 10 years experience preferably in heavy highway civil construction
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering or similar degree
