Job description

The PSA is a primary member of the support team. Works collaboratively with the direct care team to provide patient care, supply management, transportation services, equipment management and a member of the code response team

RESPONSIBILITIES
    Transports patients from clinical departments with proper notification of both the requesting and receiving departments while providing proper care to patients during transport. Cleans transport equipment between patients following hospital policy.
    Active member of the code response team (Code Blue, Code Trauma Activation, Code Massive Transfusion and Code Stroke) assisting with transportation of the patient and/or retrieval of life saving equipment, supplies and/or blood products.
    Cleans equipment for all discharges or discontinued therapies.
    Maintains nurse server inventory, reviews inventory usage with inventory planner, stocks linen in the rooms to meet customer needs.
    Completes daily check and restocking of supplies for code blue stretcher and code carts.
    Responsible for delivery and tracking of med/surg. units telemetry devices.
    Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.

High school diploma or equivalent.
